What We Do – Our Work

Collaboration and teamwork are central to our services.  We help design plans that best fit the needs of each organization.  Once the plan is launched, we monitor progress to ensure the desired results.  Each plan is grounded in theory and research leading to a more effective practice within a framework of principles.  Fostering relationships between academic and student affairs is a key component of our work.

Conference Presentations and Keynotes
Conference presentations and keynotes are important for sharing the latest research and keeping abreast of new developments in higher education.  Our focus is on active engagement and interaction.  Participants learn how to integrate theory and research into their practice.

International Projects and Presentations
In today’s world, a global context for education is imperative.  Our international work provides opportunities to communicate and learn from others. We share our expertise worldwide and gain new insights. Through our international experience, we have an appreciation of cultural complexity and its impact on project results.

Publications
We are committed to documenting our work and sharing relevant research on learning and development.  Through our publications we reach professionals seeking to advance their practice with effective approaches for helping students succeed.

Program Development and Redesign
Adaptation and adjustment are necessary to meet the needs of an ever changing student population.  No one approach fits all needs.  Existing programs require assessment and fine tuning.  We develop coalitions of dedicated stakeholders and work with them to create new programs, redesign ineffective approaches, and conduct pilot projects to ensure success.

Webinars and Podcasts
Given time and geographical constraints, we use webinars to reach as many participants as possible.  In both synchronous and asynchronous formats, we conduct webinars to share relevant research with an emphasis on applying research to practice.  Each webinar promotes interactive engagement and allows for participants to learn from each other and gain new knowledge to help promote student success.

Research
Traditional methods of student support are being challenged by research that questions outcomes.  Innovative approaches founded on theory and research are needed to respond to these questions.  We strive to lead the way in creating and disseminating research that leads to practical applications.
